Retirement Announcement: Celebrating the Career of Mike Meth

After a remarkable career, we announce the retirement of Mike Meth, a valued member of our team.

Mike’s journey into the world of agriculture and equipment began with humble origins. After serving in the US Army from 1979 to 1984, he transitioned into civilian life, where his natural affinity for agriculture led him to Massey Ferguson in Swedesburg, Iowa, in February 1985. There, he set up and drove semis and handled repairs as a technician.

In 1986, Mike took a pivotal step forward, joining a John Deere dealership for the first time in Winfield, IA. From his start in the parts department to later roles in customer service, sales, and service management, Mike’s journey was marked by continuous growth and leadership.

In 1994 Mike moved his family to Colorado to work at Bi-State Machinery. In 2000, Mike’s career reached a significant milestone when he became the General Manager of Bi-State Machinery. His leadership and vision were further showcased as Bi-State merged with Romer Mercantile in 2006 to become Colorado Equipment, where he managed branches in Greeley and Fort Collins. He eventually was promoted to General Manager of the AG division at Colorado Equipment/4Rivers Equipment, where he remained until the merger with 21st Century Equipment last year.

“I have truly enjoyed all the people I’ve worked with in my career,” Mike said. “I have always tried to live by the motto, ‘To have fun and get it done.’ There’s a lot of people still working for this company that I worked with over the years, and I want to thank them for doing what they do every day and making my job so enjoyable and rewarding.”

Mike plans to stay busy during retirement as a fly fisherman and hunting guide.
